Light Curve for 2 Series and Hardness Ratio (Application)

Application lc2 produces a light curve of two series of data and calculates and plots in different ways the hardness ratio (Series 2/ Series 1). It is run in the Question/Answer user interface by typing:

[n]Xronos> lc2
in the Partial Question/Answer user interface by typing:

[n]Xronos> lc2 [series1] [series2]
and in the Command-Driven user interface by typing:

[n]Xronos> lc2[/qualifier1/qual2/... etc] [series1] [series2]

More on lc2

The default newbin time is either the maximum bin time (if fewer than 512 newbins are expected) or such as to give a single interval with 512 newbins at most. The number of newbins per interval determines the length of the time axis of each interval and therefore the number of intervals that will be produced. Note that in light curve applications each frame can contain only results from one interval (i.e. intervals and frames coincide; see also chapter 2 terminology). Four different time axis units can be used for plotting:

The default is to plot series 1, series 2, and hardness ratio vs. time. By specifying the relevant plot options the hardness ratio can be plotted vs series 1, vs. series 2, vs. series 1+2, or removed altogether.
