Trend Removal

A polynomial trend can be removed from the time series in most XRONOS applications (N.B. not in epoch folding applications). By replying to the following question it is possible to specify the degree of the polynomial fit which will be removed from each series:

lc1> Order of polynomial trend removal
           {0=none,1=1st,....,4=4th}[0]=>
The default (=0) is not to remove any trend from the input series. If the polynomial trend removal is selected (maximum is 4th order), it is possible to specify whether the trend should be subtracted from the time series, or the time series should be divided by the trend, or the time series should be replaced with the fitted trend:

lc1> Subtr.,Div.,Replace data with trend
     {1=Subtract,2=Divide,3=Replace}[1]=>
