Global Parameters

Additional flexibility is achieved by using a number of global parameters
controlling the XRONOS session. These are specified by running command cpf
(change parameter file). XRONOS global parameters are designed to:
- control the chattiness of XRONOS applications
- write to a application log file all the interactions with XRONOS
applications and specify the application log file chattiness
- change the default output filename root and i/o status
- replace data gaps with a moving average of the light curve(s)
- force a given start time in the analysis
- calculate errors bars for the results of various types of analysis
by propagating theoretical error bars or by direct evaluation of the
scatter around the mean values in a frame
- analyse window functions
- normalise the results in various ways
- force strict simultaneity in time series from two or three energy
bands, e.g. for cross-correlation analysis
- specify special windows for burst analysis
- specify a rescaling factor and an additive constant for the results
